Attack of the Pop-up Ads

Internet advertising has reached the point where it is counter-productive.

How many pop-ups, how many requests for our e-mails, how many ads pretending to be content can one endure whilst surfing the ‘net?

Twitter is suffering the same thing. I can only roll my eyes when I’m followed by someone who follows 50,000 others. What, you’re really reading all those tweets? Of course not. You’re following me so I’ll follow you. And the technique is long past effective.

No ads, no free content though.
